According to a Norwegian paper dagbladet.no and Google Translate service, Oromo-Norwegians protested against TPLF officials who were holding a meeting at the luxurious 4-Star Radisson Blu Scandinavia Hotel in Oslo, Norway, on April 28, 2013. The paper also said 11 were arrested for a short-period for civil disobedience, a form of nonviolent protest.
The Neo-Neftegna TPLF, which has been militarily occupying Oromiyaa since 1991, was forced to cancel its meeting. TPLF is using the overseas meetings to divert the attention from the ongoing land-grabs (farmland thefts), deforestation and gross human rights violations, including lack of press freedom, in Oromiyaa and elsewhere in the colonized South in the Ethiopian empire.
